The Difference MYM Has Made

The Manage Your Mind Programme has been externally evaluated by the Centre for Health Services Studies at The University of Kent. They have evaluated measures using internationally validated questionnaires for people who participated in one or more Manage Your Mind weekly sessions and people who completed the Manage your Mind programme.

Here are the results of our data collected since we started our sessions in 2013:

GAD-7 is a screening and severity measure for generalized anxiety disorder, but also has good operating characteristics for panic disorder, social anxiety disorder, and post-traumatic stress disorder.
PHQ-9 is internationally recognised as a reliable and valid measure of depression.

These graphs show the average reduction in levels of anxiety and depression for each of the assessments done with MYM participants.

There is a strong negative correlation (-0.98) between the number of workshops participants attend and the Anxiety and Depression scores. The more workshops people attend the lower their scores. The greatest reduction seen at the third assessment is after participants complete the weekend workshop.
